About Sablevor

Built to make idle capital work harder, more precisely

We started Sablevor to close a simple gap: the time between contracts, when capital sits idle, deserves the same analytical rigour as any active position.

From a recurring problem to a dedicated discipline

Sablevor was founded around a recurring observation: teams managing capital between contracts were making decisions with the same tools they used for active trading, even though the underlying problem — what to do with money that has no immediate destination — is fundamentally different.

We built a data-driven approach specifically for that gap, treating idle-period allocation as its own analytical discipline rather than an afterthought bolted onto existing systems.

That focus has shaped everything since: the models we use, the reporting we produce, and the way we talk to clients about what the data actually supports.

Sablevor analysts discussing capital allocation strategy

Turn analysis into decisions, not just reports

Our mission is straightforward: give teams a clear, evidence-based view of how to handle capital during contract gaps, so decisions are grounded in analysis rather than guesswork or default behaviour.

We measure our own work by whether it actually changes a decision for the better — not by the sophistication of the model behind it. If an output doesn't help someone act more deliberately, we consider it unfinished.

Principles that shape how we work with clients

01

Evidence over assumption

Every recommendation is traceable to underlying data. We avoid generic advice that isn't tied to a client's actual situation.

02

Clarity over complexity

Sophisticated analysis is only useful if it's understandable. We aim for outputs a decision-maker can act on without a translator.

03

Restraint over overreach

We say what the data supports and no more. Where uncertainty exists, we surface it rather than smooth it over.

People who work at the intersection of data and decision-making

Analytical background

Our team brings experience in quantitative analysis and data modelling, applied specifically to the question of capital held between contracts.

Client-facing discipline

We work directly with the people making allocation decisions, not just with dashboards, so context and constraints inform every analysis.

Continuous refinement

Our methods are reviewed and adjusted as we see how they perform across different clients and contract structures.

Plain communication

We write and present findings in language intended for decision-makers, not just for other analysts.
